Waiting in hope...
Cupid, Cupid where are you
Cupid, Cupid are you there
Cupid, Cupid you have forgotten me

Every year I wait in earnest
In the forest
That is the world

Hoping and praying
Thinking and thinking
This year it shall be
But then…
Will it be

Then it comes and then it goes
And I am full of woes
Whom to tell
Who knows

Cupid, Cupid where are you
Cupid, Cupid are you there
Cupid, Cupid you have forgotten me

Another year has dawned
Its second month has dawned
And yet again I wait in earnest
This year it will be…
But will it

The fourteenth came
The fourteenth went
And no Valentine came forth

Then I think once again
Cupid, Cupid where are you
Cupid, Cupid are you there
Cupid, Cupid you have done it again
Cupid, Cupid you’ve forgotten yet again

And then the cycle starts again
When I say
Perhaps next year will yield
My divine Valentine
