The second chapter in the tale of Billy's unfortunate fate.
Billy was sitting next to his dead father, too shaken up to move. He was staring at the wall, not really in that world anymore, but instead in a space of his own, impervious to his surroundings now. His mind was drifting into the an endless maw. His mental awareness was trashed and scattered. As Billy floated through the void in his mind, there was small whir. The whir repeated and grew louder. Soon the whirs were very close, as if he could touch the unknown entity creating the sounds. Someone in mind whispered to him, and he see the word as it was formed.

"Help"

He snapped back to reality. His door was lit by red lights coming from outside. Billy looked to the door, the person banging was not the same as before, but resembled him. This person was viciously injured, the skin on his face torched beyond recognition. With chared-black hands he beat at the window. Billy needed to get to the people outside, and this...Billy questioned the bastard's humanity. No, he was definately not human. Any human would have succumbed to those kind of injuries. No, this was more like something out of a Romero movie.
Billy took a leap of faith. Standing, he rushed at the door, planted a shoulder into it, hoping to knock this creature from hell out of his way. As Billy crashed through the doorway, he left behind the memories that house held.
