A poem dedicated to my darling friend, Aya.
How the hell can they be proud?
When all I've ever done
Is breathe intoxicating clouds
And fuck men just for fun

Can it be so hard to listen?
All I wanted was a voice
The cool knife starts to glisten
I guess I have no choice

It's funny just what stress can do
And when you've had enough
I drink and drink because of you
It makes me feel so tough

From my wrists comes crimson
Pleasure, pain. One in the same
I don't regret my decision
Like they'll remember my name

They think I'm theirs just by birth
That I'm their little slave
I don't even know how much I'm worth
Only that I've been brave

Death is such a welcome thought
A taste that I can savor
For all the battles that I've fought
Now I will not waver

Across my throat, the cold steel licks
Scarlet warms my trembling frame
From the door, the lock, it clicks
Will you remember my name?
