For Writer's Cramp: a math poem with different structure
Algebra, trigonometry, physics…
There is too much math involved
Chaos theory: everything eventually ends in chaos
The square of seven is forty-nine
Square root of forty-nine is seven
Five x plus ten y equals zero
X is equal to negative two y
In Jurassic Park the dinosaurs were contained
But as the Chaos scientist said
                   “Nature found a way”
Work is the force applied multiplied by distance
While power is work over time
Bernoulli’s equation; similar to mechanical equilibrium
                   Chairs in a class room
                   Always start out orderly
But given some time things will change
                   The room becomes disheveled
Math is everywhere
From the cost of food
To figuring out a tax return
                   My office started out clean
                   Papers neatly piled
But now I can’t even see the floor
For chaos has come in the disguise of work
It is swirling in our minds
Numbers in every direction
                   Two plus two equals five

Don’t worry, it is only a theory
