Loving and being obsessed with someone who doesn't love you.
I yearn for your love like a dangerous drug.
I yearn for a taste, but want so much more.
How can love be so painful, so addictive?
How can this be the love I've waited for?

I'm not your treasure, just a prisoner
Of this need, this endless lust.
I'm just a fool who is always waiting.
Who's heart slowly turns to dust.

My dream of love was to be cherished,
Like the most precious treasure adored.
True love is to be held and wanted,
Not in the darkness, longing for more.

Your love for me is non-existent.
How can my love for you be true?
What kind of fool lives in obsession?
What kind of fool loves a fool like you?
