A thought-filled look at a tender mercy.
Do you ever think about the sunrise and the sunset?

Why does the sun rise and set at the speed at which it does?

Just think about your eyes. God wants us to see our way. He does not want us to be blinded.

Whenever a light comes on or goes off too quickly, our eyes have to adjust to our new lighting conditions. Sometimes this causes pain, doesn't it?

This is also what happens when we make hasty decisions in our lives sometimes. We end up struggling to deal with the consequences until we are in a comfortable place once again.

God cares so much about us that he made the sun slowly rise and slowly set. How beautiful. . .

He didn't even want to hurt our eyes.
