Something so fleeting....a glimpse.
Locks of Gold



lustrous shimmers, catching,
a glint of radiant yellow,
flickering of white sunshine,
purity of the soul.

a secret glance:

blazing fire streaks, dances,
a hearth of warmth and happiness,
blinding.

a tiny glimpse:

yearning and wanting,
soft yet untouchable,
perfection.

a covert look:

ephemeral promise etched,
reflections of gilded strength,
enticing.

a blatant stare:

reality.
dull bronze waves listlessly,
tainted,
eternity in a moment,
sadness.

Gone forever are the locks of gold.
