When my "Uncle Bill" Passed away. It tore me up, I had to write this poem.
I lost a friend today
It never should have happened this way
I never got a chance to say Goodbye
No reason to even explain why

I got too involved with myself
Cant even blame anyone else
He became ill and very sick
He lost his life, Now He I will miss

Time went without one word
I was afraid of his illness
Afraid to see him go
Now he is gone
And the love I have for him
He will now never know

Now he is without pain
And living up above the rain
I know he has those special wings
He always did those special things

I guess it was his time to fly
Even though, I'll never know why
