Article about March Madness.
What does the NCAA Tournament really mean to us. Some of the big college basketball fans like me watch basketball all of the time we get a chance but for others they just care about the NCAA Tourney. People just don’t care about everything else but this, this is always big. So many of us ask the question, why does this tournament become so big to 98% of the country. Well the reasons are that the tournament has become such an exciting event that gives you memories to always keep for the rest of your life. Another reason is because betting is huge in this country and it is so easy to bet on this tournament and anyone can do it. The best reason is because of the little “u”. The little “u” is the underdog that everyone loves. Everyone wants to see a underdog win, a team who has no chance and comes from a small-town college with a enrollment of 6,000 and a 5,000 or lower seating capacity in their arena. Now many people ask me why we love the underdog and I’ll tell you. Most of us are just like the underdog because very few of us are top Division 1-A basketball players so it sort of feels like a group of people that we know playing against a big time school and beating them. That is why we love the underdog and the huge upsets that it can somehow achieve. Americans love the underdog because America was based and started as the underdog and we still can’t get enough of an upset. So if we like gambling, exciting moments, upsets and underdogs and the thrill of victory then this tourney will give you more joy than any other sporting event in the world.
