I need her back.
You took your time to build me up.
I took my time to fray.
I picked the weary threads apart but
I guess that's life these days.

With just one scratch of your cheap blue pen,
You know that I'd be back.
But you've little concern for the fact that life
Seems just a panic attack.

You'll tell me it's not that simple.
That time does not comply,
I step onto the cold metal stair,
And with one glance back, it's goodbye.

Your hair's like fire, and on it burns,
A beacon of light in this city, it hurts
To think about. You're so strong.
And I keep finding my way back to you.

Seven years have lead me here,
My mind is tired and sore.
I leave you rich in love and hope,
But somehow, I just need more.
