A very short story of a kid who spent the night in a cemeterie.
It all started at school, just fooling around like children at are age do. When someone got the idea to spend the night at the local cemetery. No one thought much about it, we would say we were at each others houses then be back by morning. I was on my way there, meeting up with my friends at the cemetery, when it got dark outside. It wasn’t noticeable, like when the lights dim inside when nothing actually happens. “It’s all in your head, it’s all in your head” I kept repeating to myself. Once I was at the Cemetery with all my friends, after setting up our sleeping bags at the opposite side of the little church where small funerals were held, I started to get the shivers. I didn’t bring a coat seeing that it was early September and still hot out. So I decided to go for a walk to get my mind of things, when I saw her. It was a light silhouette of a young woman carrying a child close to her heart, humming a wonderfully lovely song that touched my heart. I never told anyone of what I saw that night, for I did not know if I saw it. One thing I know for sure is that her voice was like an angel’s soft whisper that followers me around wherever I go. In my mind, my heart and most importantly, my soul.
