This poem illustrates a night in the life of a very strange fox
Underneath the moonlit skies,
Lit up by star-like fireflies,
Stalks the small and stealthy hound,
When in the shadows cannot be found.

Born a freak amongst the pack,
That left and will never come back,
Deep blue fox that walks alone,
With nothing, no one, not even a home.

Indigo fox, one with the night,
Sees a challenge, and will fight,
It’s foe of different origin,
That once was its friend and kin.

And as so the moon now sets,
The horrid battle the fox forgets.
Battered and bruised and covered in blood,
This once grown fox? More like a cub.
