this one is about poverty, lot of emotion mixed in with a political message, enjoy
Money flies out the door
Says he’ll be back in a while, longer then before
Gunna go to the government for the war
Now I lost everything I had before
Nothing more then the pair of jeans I wore
It’s alright though,
I’m only waiting

What am I waiting for you ask
Well getting by Is a hard task
Status is measured by a flask
Hiding behind nice clothes and lies as a mask
When I get home, I take it off and the truth stands naked
It’s alright though,
I’m only ashamed

Eviction papers wrapping at my door
30 days to pay or
We’ll take everything away
But I got nothing that will make me stay
I got nothing plus zero
It’s alright though,
I don’t need anything anyway

Most people get by, I cant even skate
Stealing tempts me like bait
Can you pass the empty plate?
Eating off an empty slate
Mind’s propaganda startles my fate
How long must I wait?
It’s alright though,
I’m only starving

Eyes drenched with change, unclear
Things seems to disappear
Life’s descent has never been so sheer
Death is the only thing I adhere
Hands are empty, nothing to keep near
It’s alright though,
I’m only withering

Vivid images fall into a swoon
Darkness casts even over the light of the moon
Even fades the glimmer of the silver spoon
I ask how soon
Till I see the break of noon
It’s alright though,
I create a shadow already

Shallow selfishness now runs deep
The clouds of smoke are getting higher
The emergency is more dire
I wish I could push my fake patience in the fire
But someone strips away my blanket where I sleep
Now cold as the maggots where I creep
It’s alright though,
I’m only shivering

Life is obscured, no longer fits the glove
Among the desperate who push and shove
In the bowels where I use to be above
People hang on chandeliers and run through the hall
Even my faith is pleading “God Save Us All!”
It’s alright though,
I’m only hanging on for dear life

Sucking air through a bloody nose
I cultivate where prosperity never grows
Sipping on an empty glass with chapped lips
I carry shame on my shoulder after wiping off the chips
A man walks by while I’m begging on the street
A look of pity in the eye, I accept defeat
It’s alright though,
I’m getting use to it
