My only way of letting go
Is this Loneliness?

Our breath, held, held in the distance that lay between us-

I am holding on, as our memories fade-

You would not know me now, or did you ever?

It is, as if I have passed you by-

We- awkward strangers, unaware, and brushing past brief moments shared-

It is, as though I knew your face, saw it, felt it, and in seeing, held the knowledge of its

Secrets, secrets lived within the memory of my knowing the touch of your skin-

Now, by holding, I have never held you as tightly, then when I have let you go.
