100 (different) word contest entry.

“You booked the trip?”

“Yes,” she said. “Every neighbor signed up. How could anyone decline? Now I need to sell or there's no deposit.”

“Good luck.”

“Thanks” Click. Snap. His idea. My problem. Our reputation.

“Oh, Mr. and Mrs. Harrison?”

“Ms. Stevenson?”

“Meeting in person at last, this house is just amazing.”

“We are very excited about moving here. Let's take a look”

Forty-five minutes later her pitch ended. “An unbelievable home, wasn't it?”

Silence. Something's wrong. They'll all know. Who isn't going?

“Have other offers been made?”

“Two so far.”

“Sorry, not right for us.”

Shit, we're sunk.
