An entertaining story about my car.
My car is very noisy, and it shakes-a lot. So I knew something was wrong when I was no longer vibrating and I could clearly hear the music coming from my radio. Sure enough, the check engine light was brightly mocking me. I've only experienced the feeling of extreme disappointment while sitting in my car. If you own a somewhat unreliable car, such as mine, then you probably know the feeling that I’m talking about. I feel your pain.

Searching around I saw a stream of smoke coming from my car. Through my rearview mirror I saw the face of the driver behind me, she was pressed up against her windshield and there was a horrified look on her face. I quickly looked around to make sure there wasn't any flames coming from my car. The only image racing through my head was one of me and Little Big Foot (‘my 88 Camry) exploding. I’m sure that my heart must have been beating even faster than it did while running that mile in gym class.

After turning my keys in the ignition about a million times, Little Big Foot finally roared to life. His roar sounds very similar to that of race car. My goal now: get home as quickly as possible and without injury to me or my wonderful car. This was not an easy task. The smoke that had once huddled around the back of my car had now surrounded me, creating a fog that blocked not only my vision, but the vision of other cars as well. I probably should have pulled over and phoned my loving dad for assistance, but I was only two minutes away from home, given that I didn’t get stuck behind a snail disguising itself as a human driver.

Luckily for me, I did succeed in getting home, unscathed. Although, Big Foot had given out on me a couple more times along the way.

Turns out that this time I had blown a head gasket. I’ve gotten my car back since then, but alas I found myself having car troubles the first day I dared to drive it. I’ve come to the conclusion that my Camry enjoys the company of my mechanic, which is why he is constantly finding a way to break down and leave me for a short amount of time. I have to admit that I do feel betrayed by Little Big Foot’s disloyalty, but I’m hopeful that the relationship will someday be repaired.
