Loss is mute.
She sits silently by the window.
Bitter and lonely, time passes her by.
She sits and thinks,
silently wonders "why?"

When she was younger
it wasn't this way.
She smiled back then,
now only remembers that day.

Forever in her mind-
She will never be the same,
always remembering when he left,
and abandoned her in pain.

Bitter, lonely, silent-
It's all that remains
of the woman she once was,
now a woman bound in chains.

Never again will her heart soar,
nor ears hear sparrow song,
nor lips taste her lover's kiss,
for none of these belong.

A child cries by her side.
What dreadful agony!
He left behind a memory.
A tiny abandonee.

His little clone,
perfect in every feature,
cried for her,
making her weaker.

She would not go to him,
as he would not return to her.
This tiny demon from her past-
How long would he endure?

Bitter, lonely, sorrowful-
Neither heard the sparrow song,
nor tasted life's sweet nectar.
Neither saw the beauty in dawn.

The child cries again,
an innocent, helpless cry.
She looks down upon him
and quietly wonders why.

His tiny feet,
angelic face
she tries so hard to hate,
Yet, she gives in to love's embrace.

Holding her child,
her dear little one,
A glimmer of light caught her eye-
The grand rising of the Son.

He stretched out His arms;
She fell to her knees.
Golden light filled her soul.
He'd heard her silent pleas.

Such a sight, none can see
unless they've been so low
that hope has lost its voice
and you can not see its glow.

The rising of the Son,
His glory above all-
The sweet harmonic sound
Of the sparrow's call.

Hope, determination-
He needed her here.
He needed her care.
There was no room to fear.

She stood, child in arms,
and stared into the light.
The rising of the Son
helped her win this fight!

No matter how hard things may seem. Our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, will always be there with arms open wide, just waiting for us to accept His love! Hopelessness is just a lie, for there is ALWAYS HOPE IN JESUS CHRIST!
