About my dad
My dad turned 57 this year.
Does anybody care?
Are things fair?
Does anybody want to share?

Just yesterday, my dad was 47.
A couple of times he almost went to heaven.
My dad has known things since he was 7.

And 2 days ago, he was 37.
And it seems he just jumped there from just being 11.
And by the time he was 14, he almost went into heaven.

And 3 days ago, he was 27.
Isn't it strange, how life really flies?
When your eating, Mississippi blue berry and black berry pies.

And 4 days ago, he was 17.
As though it seems, my dad expericed his first real love,
and his first real date.
There was no such thing as hate.
Love was true and straight.

1 day from now, my dad will be 67.
2 days from now, my dad will be 77.
3 days from now, my dad will be 87.
4 days from now, my dad will be 97.
5 days from now, my dad will be 107.
6 days from now, if it be God's will, my dad will be 127.

Isn't it good, that God is the same yesterday,
and the same today,
and the same tomorrow.
Does anybody care?
Learn to share.
And learn to care.
For God's goodness,
is everywhere.
Does anybody care?
