Harry's Botanical Lesson

“Martha, come over here, “ Harry called, “Martha? Martha, where are you?”

“For crying out loud Harry, I’m over here looking at the roses,” Martha answered, “what do you want?”

“Come over here, you won’t believe this plant over here.”

“Okay, I’ll be over there in a minute, these roses are quite lovely.”

“Boyyy, this is a big plant. Hurry up, you just WON’T believe the size of this thing!”

“I SAID I would be over there in a minute, you know I like to take the rows one at a time. I like to ENJOY my experience here.”

“Well, okay but you’re gonna be impressed with this baby!” Harry laughed.

“Okay, okay, I’ll be there pretty soon! Crimeny Harry, you can be such a pain in the ass sometimes.”

“Well you’re the one that likes coming to the botanical gardens,” Harry grumbled, “the least you could do is keep up with me while we’re here.”

“I don’t like walking with you Harry,” Martha laughed, “you’re always talking loud and irritating everyone around you.”

“I AM NOT!” Harry grouched, “You’re always dragging your feet and stopping to smell all the flowers. I like to keep moving, you know if I stand around too long my back kills me.”

“Yeah? Well, you always walk too fast, and you mess with the plants. You KNOW you’re not supposed to do that.”

“Hurry up and get over here,” Harry called, “this funny looking plant is really something. The leaves look fuzzy, I wonder what they feel like?”

“Don’t touch the plants Harry, you know what the signs said, NO TOUCHING THE PLANTS!”

“I just wonder what it feels like,” Harry said, reaching out to touch the fuzzy leaf, “what the h... arrrghhh!”

“What did you say Harry? Harry? ....HARRY?”
