A poem about love lost.
Lonesome Lament

A comet fell from the old midnight sky,
its tail dwindling to nothingness, hiding.
The lonely sound of a train passing by
jarred my reverie, longing, old pain.

The wine did not last to satisfy me,
to sooth trembling lips with sweetness so fine.
Thirst of lingering despair seemed to be
stronger than the sound of crying regrets.

Oh where have you gone, Billy, my sweet man?
Why did you leave quickly, abruptly,
just because you want to; you know that you can?
Don't you know, dear? I still need you..

Please come back to me.
