A letter to my cat. Died May 6, 2006
Dear Zorro:

You left me tonight, and I really am quite sad. You were with me for only a couple of years. However, during those years you became so much to me.
You made me laugh, over the things you used to get yourself into. How could one cat create so much havoc? You were fearless since the day I brought you home. Attacking the dog and keeping him in his place.

Despite the selfishness of wanting, you hear with me right now, I know that you are better off. You are not hurting, and you cannot feel the pain. You can chase the pom poms and laser lights to your own content. You will not be yelled at for jumping on the counter. You can eat off the plate.

However, oh I am going to miss you. I am going to miss you jumping in my lap. I am going to miss the fight I had with you every morning when I tried to make the bed and you just wanted to play under the covers. I am going to miss snuggling up in bed when it was time to go to sleep. I am going to miss you acting like the dog that I still think you were meant to be. Greeting me at the door, playing fetch and the tricks you learned how to do when you wanted a treat.

I love you Zorro.

Love momma,
Lisa
