One of a number of pieces I wrote whilst on holiday with friends.
Deep inside my heart is bleeding
As behind your dreams I dwell
Fears and nightmares from you feeding
Whilst we’re descending straight to hell

From your dreams my nightmares streaming
On a dark and feathered wing
In my dreams I’m hiding, screaming
Sat within a small lit ring

Runaway, my way of coping
You swiftly follow close behind
Escape, am I just hollow hoping
As I run completely blind

And will I escape from dreaming
Will I finally come to wake?
Shaken, waking, softly screaming
As all these fears from me you take
