its a story about a guy and a girl fated to meet. *if you read, please review*
Preface

They have lived with their lives incorporated together for years now. She asked what else she needed to know, the water showed her. Soon, it would come to an end. The agonizing time she spent trying to bring them together was finally going to come to an end.
She knew that with this occurrence she could finally move on with her life and past this phase. All she needed to do now was wait. Maybe she thought to herself maybe I can speed the process up. She went over to her bookshelf worn with time and pulled out a dusty book. Using her right hand she took the dust off in a clockwise motion. Flipping through the pages she found it. Hmmm, it could be risky she thought.
“But I’ve spent too much time waiting and waiting.” She thought aloud.
Finally her mind was made up. She knew that she had to use this book to close the gap on sixteen semi-wasted years of her life. She took out all the appropriate tools and got to work.
Soon, it will be over. Soon they will be together at last. Soon…..

Quinn

Rain crashed against the window outside of the restaurant. Alden was blabbering on about some girl sitting at a table near us. I realized that I wasn’t paying any attention to what he was saying. I looked around and saw some familiars. I waved over to Toby, my other best friend, who was on a date with Tasha Avery, one of the best looking girls in school but, I didn’t feel jealous like I usually would, I felt happy for him. Sitting at a table right by us was my neighbor Eldon Magoon.
I turned my attention back to Alden and nodded my head. He seemed pleased with my reaction and started to talk about something else. I looked around again and suddenly felt the overwhelming feeling that something momentously huge was about to happen. The feeling was quickly surpassed by that of surprise and true desire.
I looked at the door and saw a girl around my age, maybe a year younger. I couldn’t stop myself from staring. She had hair that was the color of fresh baked brownies, with natural streaks of sunlight. She wasn’t skinny but not huge either. She was wearing a pair of jeans and a comfy sweatshirt, not odd for the earliest days of spring. She glanced outside with a look of longing and hope. I instantly understood what inspired her look. She missed the sun and the cool breeze of spring. Her hope was that it would be nice out again soon.
I was shocked that I could get all this information from a single glance into her eyes. The door opened again and it felt as if I was blown twenty feet across the room. It was like I was perched high up in the air conditioning duct that was going to be constantly running in two weeks. I watched from a distance, my vision of the girl blurred, and I saw someone else walk into the restaurant. I felt the unfamiliar sensation of jealousy when I realized that the man that had just arrived was with my mystery love. I was suddenly perfectly in tune with her feelings and realized she was completely in love with this new man. She goes to kiss him and I see his face.

I woke up in my own bed, the moon shinning in through my window. The memory of my all too vivid dream flowed into my head. I knew who the guy was; I just didn’t understand why I was seeing this. The guy was me!
Was it some kind of premonition? I wasn’t sure. I swung my legs over the side of my bed and went to look at my alarm clock next to my bed. 5:58 am. My mind kicked into automatic wake up mode. I turned off my alarm; my premature awakening stopped it from fulfilling its duty. Oh well, I guess I’ll just do my science homework, at least then my teacher will be in a good mood.
As I stumble through the normal morning routines I find my mind wandering back to the subject of that odd dream. Who was that girl? I knew that I knew her, she felt so familiar. I felt that from this moment on my life depending on finding out her identity. I searched my floor for the necessities, a shirt or two and some kind of pants.
Just as I’m sitting down at my desk to do my homework, my mom yells up the stairs.
“Quinn, your alarm didn’t go off! Are you awake yet?”
With an exasperated sigh in audible to my mother I yelled back “Yeah, I’m just getting ready! I woke up before the alarm.” I hear her walk away. I think that the sun wakes her every morning. No matter what time of the year it is she is always up when the sun is. Me on the other hand, I just get up whenever I feel like it, one of the many reasons I hate getting up in the morning.
I come trotting down the stairs just as my little brother comes charging up them.
“Casper! Watch were your going!” I say to the annoyance of my life, most of the time.
“Sorry, Pokemon’s gonna be on in a minute and I can’t miss it.” He says in an exasperated voice, as if its something that everyone should know.
“Hey mom, morning.” I say to my mom as I bend to give her a kiss on the cheek.
“Morning darling, someone’s in a good mood, eh?” she asks in a questioning voice.
That’s when I realize that she’s right. I’m in a great mood. Not that I’m like a depressed person that walks around with their head hung over and sadness emanating in thick tendrils. But, this was a good morning moon for me, I actually felt awake, alive, as if something had just changed me from the normal groggy Quinn to the new me. “Yeah,” I reply simply. “I guess so.”
She seems like she’s going to make some kind of remark but instead asks “do you want toast or pancakes?”
I take a second to ponder this decision. Yeah right. I automatically say “Pancakes please!”
“Mmhmm, that’s what I thought.”
“Thanks mom. I really appreciate you making me breakfast.”
“Yeah, no problem.” My mom replies half heartedly. Uh-oh, this isn’t good. She’s going to address me about something big. Oh crap, what could it be?
She seems to read my thoughts and says, “Well you know how your father has been away lately and, how your supposed to go to school out here but we didn’t want to make you leave all your friends we kept you at Barley, even though it’s an hour and a half drive?”
“Yeah.” I manage to choke out. A lump is already developing in my throat and all thoughts of my mystery girl fly out of my head. “So?”
My mother looks pained. “Well, your father got a new job. The reason he’s been gone so much is the commute. It’s nearer to your school.” The lump in my throat loosened and I felt like I could breathe freely again. I thought that she was going to tell me that her and dad were splitting up. Relief surged through my body and I felt all my muscles relax. “But, we are going to have to do something that I’m not sure you’ll be too happy about…”
“What is it?” I felt frustration rising in the back of my throat. “Just tell me already!”
“We are going to have to move.” My mom replied.
I thought my dream had changed my life but I realized this was much more real, I was moving! The words bounced through my head. At least I wouldn’t have to change schools, the only problem was moving, a new bus, and a new house. Oh well, I would make it through. Now my thoughts drifted back to mystery girl…
