A flight of moonlit fancy
The moon whispers behind the clouds
"Play hide and seek with me.
Lightfoot now I see you dancing
there beneath the tallest oak tree!"

"Oh silver moon you shine so bright,
light the path my steps take
that I might see the way to dance
my gentle lovers heart awake."

"Lightfoot yet dance for me a while.
I'll shine down from above
and send a message of your wish."
"Awake O' heart of Lightfoots love!"

So she danced with moonbeam partner,
his light gilding her charms
in silver and pewter laughter,
she flies into her lovers arms.
