Children talk so silly when they think they are alone.
“When I was a boy,”
Said Katherine Kate….
“Oh you never were,”
Said Dan.
“I could stand up and pee
As far as that tree
And from there I could fill
A tin can.”

“When I was a Mommy,”
Said Katherine Kate….
“Oh you weren’t a Mommy,”
Said Dan.
“I would bake you a cake
That made your heart ache
And you’d eat it right out
Of the pan. “

“When I was a girl,”
Said John Philip Joe….
“You were never a girl,”
Said Marie.
“I wore dresses frilly
And acted so silly
That no one could tell
It was me.”

“When I was a Dad,”
Said John Philip Joe....
“Which you never were!”
Said Marie.
“I hugged you and thanked you
And never would spank you
If only you’d bring me
My tea.”
