A collection of two line poems
In my closet there is a shotgun and an empty case of Corona
In my head there is a little boy who is afraid of both

I have a weakness for skinny blondes and their sunshine ways
Even if I had them all I think I’d want more

Silly words they cannot dance, cannot move or rearrange in stance
Write a book in your mind and it will never end, it will never die

Why must I long? Why must I lust?
Do I want what I have not? Or do I need what I must have?

I can’t seem to be the man that I want to see
Every time I change my face it doesn’t look like me

I step outside and put a cigarette to my lips
I keep my eyes on the sun, but slowly it slips

Walking down the road of enchantment full of overwhelming tension
I stumbled upon quite a beauty who’s eyes demanded my attention

Dying every day and wanting to live forever
Crying is just a way to make room for pleasure

I’m not afraid to fly, I’m afraid to leave the ones I’ve found
I’m not afraid to fly, I’m just afraid to leave the ground

We all get pleasure out of pain, even if this sounds insane
But with your pain you only complain, but there’d be no rainbow without the rain
