A poem about disappointing someone, totally.
Weighed in the Balance

Down through the years I often noticed
you were never satisfied at all.
I fell short of your expectations;
I had no idea what caused my fall.
.
I was weighed in the balance, fell so short.
The scales of justice never favored me.
On the seesaw side of experience,
I was in the low seat, not ever quite free.

If you planned this revenge, it was perfect.
To never please and not quite know why
is an awful hard sentence, no mercy,
no parole, imprisoned, you die.

To be punished for crimes not stated
is painful to a maximum degree.
You always left when I needed you most
leaving me alone on the hanging tree.

I wondered if it was intentional.
When did the planning begin
to kill with cuts of a thousand insults
while pretending you were my kin?

Your fun is almost completed,
not because you've tired of the game.
I won't be here much longer to suffer.
I'll be free then, won't even hear your name.
