Grumpy Tiger

The grumpy tiger growls,
when grumpy time is due.
Laugh not at this tiger,
or vengeance you’ll ensue.
Sing songs of happiness,
silly birds sing free.
I’m happy you are grumpy,
your dinner I won’t be.
So growls the grumpy tiger,
his stomach and his mouth.
Grumpiness can’t be cured
Grumpy tiger faces south.
Bird laughs at tiger and,
Jumps down from her birch
I won’t be your dinner.
On tiger’s nose she makes her perch.
Animals laugh at the tiger,
laughing at his plight.
Hungry, the grumpy tiger,
gives the bird a bite.
Oh wondrous this flavor,
the tiger stops his growl,
and starts eating, loving
the flavor of this fowl.
Then purrs the happy tiger
his grumpiness is gone.
