This poem is about peace and how it quickly becomes interrupted by war.
Peace is the want of every man-
It’s stored deep within the soul-
And always hoping the chance will come-
To show the world its worth-

And sweetest- in the distance- is heard
A war must be the storm
That could abash the peace within every man
That kept them all so warm-

I’ve seen it in the coldest land-
And on the deepest sea-
Still, never in eternity-
It asked a part- of me.
