Best Friend's Betrayal
Betrayal

What you did is betrayal,
But I’m not for sale,
So take your words,
Where they can’t be heard,
Because what is done is done,
And changed it can be never.

Like the flash of a light,
What we had became a fight,
The past erased by you,
And me left standing like a fool.
But what goes around
Does come around,
Because the truth always finds a way,
And so the guilty are made to pay.

I will still be standing,
While the betrayer is left panting,
But my game is not revenge,
Only patience will see an end,
Because only then will you understand,
How betrayal can feel like the end.

It will be then, and only then,
How once what you saw your win,
Was in actual fact your loss,
Because there will always be a cost,
For treating the very unsuspecting dear,
To a stab in the back, with no fear.

Remember remember around the bending corner,
Lies maybe what or what not we never fear,
We can never know what will be here,
For we can never really see,
What could knock us off our feet.
So what you did to me,
Could one day happen to you,
And then maybe you will shed some tears….
