This is a poem I wrote about miscarriages.
You Are Gone
I could feel you
growing inside me.
For you to be healthy
was my only plea.
I picked out names
for both a girl and a boy.
I was so happy
I couldn't hide the joy.
I couldn't wait for
my arms to hold you.
Everything was going so good
it felt almost too good to be true.
Then the day came that
every mom-to-be fears.
I woke up and felt different
went to the bathroom and down fell the tears.
For you to be in this world
it just wasn't meant to be.
Even writing this the tears
fill my eyes making it hard to see.
