Freedom

Be you warm
And be you chosen
To live a life both wild and grand
Beneath the sun and o'er the sand
Beneath the moon and in the rain
Away from evil's chill and fang.
Within the day,
Within the night
Don't let them steal away your sight;
Don't let the bite and scratch and hiss
Take away what soon you'll miss
Or brush against your pretty wings
And steal the dust that gives you dreams.
