This is a short piece about being there for someone that loves you.
If you showed up on my doorstep I would take you under my wing.
I would touch your lips with silence and hold your hand with bangs.
I would whisper your words and sing your glory.
I would take you under my wing and shelter you from the perils.
I would hold you and tell you what you need to hear.
I would taste your sorrow and you would taste my guilt.
I would let you be mine and you would let me be yours.
If you showed up on my doorstep, I would let you through my window.
