FYI: the blood is just a metaphorical aspect. General idea is about feeling alone.
She took a deep drag of her cigarette,
Watching the blue-grey smoke curl into nonexistence.
After flicking it onto the ground,
Flecks of her ash fluttered down and settled onto the black asphalt
Like the first delicate snow.
She gazed into the city scene down in front of her,
The brilliant lights of the buildings and street lamps
Steadily reflecting the growing uncertainty in herself.
Her long chestnut hair danced with the sudden frigid breeze,
Cascading from her shoulders down her small, hunched back.
As she hugged her knees to her chest,
She felt the diamond encrusted sky come undone.
Crimson blood trickled unnoticed down her hand
And unceremoniously dripped off her fingernail.
Despite her deliberate detachment from God's unsympathetic eye,
She whispered "I love you"
Into the ever spinning atmosphere,
And folded up within herself,
Never to return to her oblivious innocence.
