A poem I wrote during the first months of the War in Iraq.
Bring them back
Away from harm
This fierce attack
Has no charm
Fight to the death
But let us win
Leave them breath
And free from sin
Bless them now
Dry their tears
Show them how
Diminish the fears
Guide them well
Give them faith
Watch over them
And keep them safe
