Things sometimes only another mother can understand..........
I am a mother.

I am the one to bear the grief of things.
When things are not happy.
I am the one to bear the bad news.
Of the sickness or death of one of our pets.
I am the bearer and the consoler.
I take it all in and console the family.
I am the secret keeper and sometimes the secret teller.
I keep the secrets I have promised to keep and
sometimes share those that have not been promised.
I am the one that is most afraid sometimes but must be brave.
I feel fear and have anxiety more than most,
yet I can not show it.
I am the one who knows each one's pain.
Each one tells me of things that a mother doesn't want to hear.
I am the confidant.
They confide in me and find a compassionate listener.
I am the healer.
I ease their pain and suffering.

Sometimes it is too much.

I am a mother and wouldn't want it any other way.

But who is my bearer? Who is my healer?

Sometimes we console ourselves.
