metaphorical - on surface is about being confronted by a soldier and stabbed with sword
Blackened and charred you stand before me
Clutching to cold metal as though not aware
Eyes pierce the simplicity
Your heat burns to overwhelm
Sacrificing in passionate rage
Steel penetrates flesh
Cold, swift, final

Fear spills amongst us
Permeating in hot pulses of mortality
Twisted, contorting, searing
Your heat becomes as ice
Blows inward to cover
Tainted frost in putrescence
The pale perfection lost to night

Sole exhaustion entangled in these tears
Severed to augment for eternal turmoil
This fixation will remain
But you will be lost
