For the Always Something Different Contest
The lane looks so plain
Since last time I came on it.
I seem to remember it
Decorated by Nature’s hand
With floral delights
And blossoming trees.
Now I cannot quite remember
If it is the autumn chills
Diminishing it
Or if you simply shattered my
Rose-colored glasses.
