In a cabin by a spring
Momma's writing poems and lullaby's as daddy
sleeps in his easy chair--the 2 of them are quite a pair,
Momma has a dream to hear someone sing one
of her poems for daddy it seems
That old house full of memories and love
Is surely a gift from Heaven above


In a cabin by the spring, in a cabin by the spring
Life is good for all who live in a cabin by the spring,
In a cabin by a spring....
