What I have to say about eyes
EYES

If the eyes are the windows to the soul
The hands must be the eyes to the future
To see one’s destiny unfold before one’s eyes
Is tantamount to propulsion into the unknown

Eyes being the essence of a vitreous nature
Hydrate and bathe the ocular organ with tears
To rid the oculus of any pervasive foreign particle
Using its blinking reflex to flush out the intruder

Blue, green, brown, black, you name it
Almond, prominent, deep-set or oriental
Mammals, amphibians, crustaceans alike
The eyes have it all on animals big and small

As the eyes are the organs of vision
They detect light, colour and shape
Some people are vision-deprived as in
Myopia, hyperopia or monochromia

Sans eyes, we are as blind as a bat
Not knowing what’s before or behind us
The feeling of uncertainty is unnerving
As the Blind can attest to their Fate

Rapid eye movement during slumber
Transports to faraway realms
Tho’ all too vivid to the dreamer
Is a Utopia n’er known to the world
