Shakespearean sonnet about a relationship between 2 people who want what they can't have.
You and I had just met not long ago,
Both complete strangers wanting to learn more.
Expressing new feelings, away we go.
Talking and listening without much bore.
Although I can’t explain the way I feel,
Deep inside I know how it all should be.
But the feelings I have are all so real,
I desire “us”, not just you and me.
So I block my thoughts and forget the truth,
Telling myself that it will all be fine.
Close my eyes and bite my lip with my tooth,
Moving on and passing away the time.
But knowing that you and I are good friends,
I’ll be happy no matter how it ends.
