A kind of abstract piece about loss.
BLOWN AWAY

Beneath the waxing midnight moon,
the night wind swept away too soon;
the scent of love, of you and me,
I, in thrall and you, set free.

As sorrow's momentary host,
I tried in vain to hold the ghost
of the love that merely slipped away -
like all the things I meant to say.

You are gone, my heart is bare,
my mind is stretched tight with despair,
and like the moon I wait alone
for one last breeze to blow me home.
