Teenager poem thing. Yeah, exciting, I know. Give it a chance, though.
I flirt with my boyfriends best friend for payback
And I call him my boyfriend when I know he's not
Chaos? It's madness,
An escape to sadness,
A drunken escapade through the neighbors yard.

My parents disowned me when I turned thirteen
A druggie, a loser, a nobody to me
They said as they turned away
I'm an alley cat, a stray,
Wanna feed me? Didn't think so.
I'll just try to stay warm.

I promised not to smoke again
But there's one last cigarette
And it's begging for a lighter
And it's begging for a fire
And it's pleading for the smoke that I inhale.
It's another unfortunate event
In a stream of things that I know I will fail.

Hey, there's that band,
I heard that song a million times
But they play it different
They play it real.
They're not the pop-scene liars
The mainstreamers' fliers,
Painting black make-up and proclaiming
We're not the same
We're not the same
No, they're not that band.

Sellouts. Scoundrels.
Worthless tuition,
Tell me, explain to me,
How will any of this matter?
Ashes to ashes
Dust to dust
We really are alone.
