The Half that Makes Me Whole

I lost myself in your eyes tonight
Their song enchants my soul
Immersed in pools of steel-blue light
The half that makes me whole

Your heart vows love, beyond compare
A cadent, magnetic pull
Reveals a gift, a treasure rare
The half that makes me whole

Tenderly you've steadily begun to erase
Wounds that tormented my soul
Uniting two hearts in a lifelong embrace
The half that makes me whole

Alchemically driven to a carnal pace.
I've surrendered the loss of control
We two become one in our lover’s space
The half that makes me whole
