this poem was a bit of a challenge to my sister to see if i could do this
Opening the screen door,
I gaze at the gray sky of the morn.
Seeing, feeling, hearing,
The drops fall on my skin,
Brings a delight beyond compare,
And a soothing sensation from within.
A cool breeze sifts through my hair,
While a little river flows through the bare;
Tree, and grass,
Grass and rock.
All flowing in a line so simple but with such
Strong meaning that none can mock.
If I touch the tips,
The tips of my fingers, my toes,
The river caresses and sprinkles up high to my arms,
My arms and elbows.
I taste the rain in the air,
That cool sweet, serene, simmer of sound,
Symbolizing in my ear,
In my nose,
In my eyes,
And in my skin.
All the cool, calm, and collected clarity,
Accumulating inside of me from within.
The rain, the raindrops, fall to the ground
To bring another soothing shower for another.
For another cool, calm, collecting clarity,
And new connection between them and me.
The rain, the bond
All within, belong,
All inside,
Inside of me.
