Poem for Hate contest
NOTE:THIS POEM WAS WRITTEN FOR HATE CONTEST
A loathsome term I used to debate,
now a woman consumed with hate.
The signals received came too late,
for you I’ll no longer wait.

I’ve learned to hate because of you,
discovered what you said untrue.
You shift the blame of all that you do,
have left me scarred and feeling blue.

Hatred jumped up and bit me until it hurt.
I sat aside while you continued to flirt
with others until leaving me feeling like dirt.
My heart now on constant alert.

I hate what’s become of me,
never dreamed the word would come to be
a portion of my destiny.
From hate I’m no longer free.
I’ve learned to hate, and am no longer free.
