Dedicated to a man who is very dear to me
*Cry*
“No!”, she screamed, as rivers of tears she cried.
It was the same night that her heart died.
Her eagle’s wings were to be forever clipped,
and bit by bit her aching soul was chipped.

He gave her the news that he wasn’t meant to stay,
that the past he’d endured was his hell to pay,
said it was God’s will for it to be this way,
that in another world they’d meet again someday.

The tears fell again, and wouldn’t subside.
“No!” her mind screamed the night her heart died.
Disillusioned and empty, one she treasured to go,
she willed herself into believing it just wasn’t so.

The truth hit her like lightning, and teardrops streamed again,
for this was the one time she knew she couldn’t win.
She would lose her dear eagle, a fact he didn’t hide.
It goes without saying, this was the night her heart died.*Cry*

NOTE: THIS SPECIAL MAN, MY CHERISHED FRIEND, WILL ALWAYS HOLD A SPECIAL PLACE IN MY HEART AND SPIRIT.
*Heart*
