This poem is about one of my friends. And this is what happened at the time with him.
You strut to them
make them laugh.
I cried myself to sleep last night.
Whose fault was that?

Don't even start
I'm not overly sentimental.

You wrap your arms around me
and say nice things.
Your sweatshirt's warm
but beneath the man-made fabrics,
I know the skin's cold.

Why are you dependant on me?
Why do you call me constantly,
and ask those questions you know I won't answer?
Is it because I'm the only one there?

You're a cannible.
You pull people close just to eat away at them.

Oh we're just friends, just friends
But they tell me you want something more.
Why do you want to involve yourself with me
when you pinpoint all my physical and mental flaws
And exploit them?

It's funny how lately,
Your calls are synonymous to the 4 A.M. sobbing that can be heard
softly from my room.

Funny how you can get away with murder,
And still have me running back to you.
Then you kill again,
and again and again.
Tell me, will the cycle ever stop?

No,you are not shy of telling me every one of my flaws
Overthinking that I have the self-esteen
of a modern cave woman in a beauty pagent.
Thank you,
And Medusa better watch her back.
