Caroline's secret crush Cody who loves her as well dies after saving her life.
Suddenly, Caroline spotted Cody and ran over to him. A huge grin wiped onto Cody's face but, Caroline blushed and them pushed him into the nearest safe room. Cody was puzzled but then realized that she was helping protect him from the flood. Suddenly, a teacher ran down the hall towards Caroline, a frantic look on her face. "Help, help!" she shouted, waving her arms all over the place, "There are three sixth graders drowning in the doors, help! I can't save them, Caroline will you help?"
Without thinking, Caroline sprang into action and ran towards the doors that kept the flood from breaking into the school. Sure enough, there were three little girls drowning and only Caroline could save them. Immediately, Caroline opened the door just enough to get in between. The cold and polluted water froze Caroline for about a minute, leaving teachers and a few students stunned. That was when Cody opened the door of the room he was in and asked what was wrong. Caroline grabbed the three sixth graders and let them out, but was suddenly engulfed in water and couldn't escape. She was going to drown now!
"I love her!" shouted Cody, not thinking twice about what he was going to do. Cody saw the love of his life drowning and dove in to save her. When he jumped in, Caroline passed out, never to see him again. The man Cody was talking to rushed her to safety just before the doors burst open and flooded the hall, leaving Cody to drown.
When Caroline came to, she was told that a young boy saved her life and died in the process. A teacher took her to see where the body was and Caroline became horrified.! She saw Cody, her secret crush, lying in front of her, lifeless. Now, he'd never know how she felt and she'd never know if he liked her. She burst into tears, realizing this and then said, "That's Cody, my secret crush."
