Forms of abuse by parents - of children
born to change the future
only the matriarchs despise themselves
running with raw verdant fist
escaping on the other side of doors to institutions
swimming in rivers languid of spirited liquid
placing the young on alters of the finest merit
carried into the clouds hanging from hopes razored talons
too heavy to weigh in proclivity
